Hurghada Island Trip Program brief
We start our island trip, sailing in nice company by comfortable boat from Hurghada, to cross the Red Sea in the morning breeze and gentle sun. It will take us approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on weather conditions, to reach our first trip destination, Giftun Soraya, translating as Small Giftun island.
Why you must visit Giftun Island
Small Giftun island is a very popular excursion because of its proximity to Hurghada and its pristine beaches. Small Giftun is perfectly suitable for snorkeling and lazy sunbathing.
The coral reef snorkeling here is simply superb. It feels as if you are visiting an underwater jungle. Here you can expect to see a delicate variety of smaller and bigger fish such as the Napoleon wrasse. Small Giftun is decorated with attractively shaped hard and soft coral. When you’re lucky you might even spot a turtle taking a detour.
After our stay at Small Giftun island we proceed to Giftun Kebir, which is also known as Big Giftun. We stop here for one hour to let you enjoy another snorkeling sensation or chill on the beach with your feet in crystal clear water.
When we return to our boat we will serve a lunch buffet which you can enjoy in our saloon or outside on the deck. We offer a wide choice for both vegetarians and fish lovers. There’s a mini bar on board for soft drinks.
After lunch we will have a relaxed sailing to another beautiful location with phenomenal and rich marine life in the area.
What you encounter in Giftun Island Trip
Here we witness the presence of bannerfish, yellowfish, masked butterflyfish, goatfish, sweetlips, yellow snappers, crocodilefish, etc, etc. Of course our guide will help you identify soft and hard coral and fish species.
We return to Hurghada late in the afternoon after an amazing experience of visiting three of the finest islands in the Red Sea near Hurghada.
Our island trip is an exciting day out on the Red Sea and highly recommended for both first-time and experienced snorkelers.
