SSI Advanced Open Water. The Essence.
The goal with the SSI Advanced Open Diver Course is to cover the central core courses that every diver needs to be efficient enough to dive just about anywhere in the world.
The SSI Advanced Open Water Diver qualification is earned by successfully completing four diving specialty courses and after having logged a total of 24 dives.
Here are just some of the options to select from the following central core modules:
SSI Advanced Open Water. The Pre-requisites.
- Minimum age: 10 years old.
- Have an SSI Open Water Diver (or SSI Junior Open Water Diver) certification, or an equivalent certification from a recognized training agency.
SSI Advanced Open Water. The Essence.
Complete four SSI Specialty programs.

SSI Advanced Open Water. Recognition Card.
Once all requirements are complete and the student’s MySSI profile is updated, the Advanced Open Water Diver digital recognition card is automatically issued at no charge.
